SOFTBALL: Coonce, NAIA Region XI Player of the Week, Again![]() SOFTBALL: Coonce, NAIA Region XI Player of the Week, Again
CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Kacey Coonce of Trevecca Nazarene (Tenn.) University was named the NAIA Region XI Player of the Week for the week ending April 27, 2008. This is the second week in a row for Coonce to receive the honor. She has been named the TranSouth Player of the Week three times this season.
Coonce, a 6-foot-0 junior from Goreville, Ill., helped Trevecca Nazarene (Tenn.) University to a 7-1 week. She batted .500 on the week with four doubles, nine RBI and was 2-for-2 in stolen bases. Sent went 4-for-4 in the Trojans 4-3 win against NAIA No. 17 Martin Methodist (Tenn.)The Trojans are currently ranked No. 4 in the NAIA. They are 43-5 overall and finished the regular season number one in the TranSouth with a record of 32-2.
